Steven Block - Non-Executive Director, Compensation Chair

Steve has over 38 years of broad legal, management, executive and Board of Director experience at S&P 500 corporations, quality biotech companies and a major New York law firm. He currently sits on the Board and Audit and Corporate Governance and Nominating Committees of a public pre-commercial biotech company. He is also a member of Board of Governors of Tech Coast Angels, the country’s largest angel investor group, and is a partner with Venture Farm, LLC, an early stage fund providing capital, mentoring and education to entrepreneurs. Steve was the Senior Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary and one of nine senior executives at a highly profitable New York Stock Exchange listed corporation with almost $2.0 billion in sales and 6000 employees for eleven years.

Steve brings broad management experience in corporate governance and design and implementation of enterprise requirements planning system, and legal expertise in securities, corporate, antitrust, product liability and regulatory (environmental and food, drug and cosmetic) law.  Extensive experience in domestic and international mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures, finance, conduct and management of litigation, including significant commercial, product liability and insurance coverage cases, and government affairs, including activities with domestic and international trade associations and lobbying of federal, state and international legislators and regulators.
