Reference Materials
Reference Materials, whether Chemical or Botanical, are an important part of any scientifically valid quality control and testing program. We at ChromaDex™ specialize in Reference Materials and have the knowledge to ensure you are using the right materials for the right testing protocol.
These products can be used for raw material identity confirmation, raw material potency quantification, analytical method validation, product formulation verification, product potency quantification, etc. From biomass to bottle, our products will help your company achieve compliance under the cGMPs.
When you receive your product, all Reference Materials will arrive with a Certificate of Analysis (CofA) and a Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS). Custom CofAs are also available and may require a nominal fee for generation.
Expiration Dates
ChromaDex™ products are assigned expiration dates. The quality and integrity of the product prior to expiration only applies in the unopened original container. However, many of the products can still be used well after their expiration date upon verifying they meet chromatographic specifications listed in the CofA. Warranties are given pursuant to our terms and conditions of sale, delivery, and handling.
Packaging
Packaging is extremely important in the quality and stability of ChromaDex™ products. To avoid potential degradation from air or water or cross-contamination with other materials, typical packaging for ChromaDex reference materials is in brown glass screw top vials for powder compounds at 5mg, 10mg, 25mg, 100mg, or 1gm sizes. Botanical Reference Materials and Extract Reference Materials are packaged at 5gm sizes in high density polyethylene screw cap bottles which are compliant with US Pharmacopoeia 23 661 requirements for protection from light.
