William Carter has worked at ChromaDex since September of 2021. Mr. Carter is responsible for the company’s business affairs and manages its legal department.
Mr. Carter has been a corporate business lawyer and black belt certified process expert for physical and digital retail for 25 years. After 10 years as Albertson’s corporate counsel where he managed M&A, litigation, IP, and represented the marketing, IT, and private brands teams, Bill opened a law firm and represented numerous corporate clients including Albertsons, Costco, Kraft Foods, Setton International Foods, Idaho Power and Bodybuilding.com.
In 2011, Bodybuilding.com’s parent company Liberty Media hired Bill as Bodybuilding.com`s Chief Legal and Global Regulatory Compliance Officer. From 2011 to 2019, the global regulatory/legal compliance program Bill designed and implemented eliminated product (dietary supplement) related litigation. Bill also led business development for Bodybuilding.com, assisted with product and formula development, oversaw data privacy and protection and was a frequent speaker at supplement industry conferences.
Independent of his professional career, Bill serves on several boards, is a historic aviation researcher, and an inventor who owns patents in the United States and Canada.
